Amazon has cut the Fire TV Stick 4K to $24.99, down from its regular price of $59.99. Price trackers say this is the lowest price ever for this model.
The stick is 3.6 inches long and draws power from your TV's USB port, so it sits behind your screen without needing a separate outlet. It supports 4K streaming over Wi-Fi 6 and includes HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG for improved contrast and color on compatible TVs. The device does not support Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos audio.
According to PCMag, apps respond almost instantly and 4K streams load quickly with minimal blurry, low-resolution moments. The redesigned Alexa voice remote has a more comfortable shape, an easier-to-find home button, and shortcuts for major streaming services. You can use Alexa to search for shows, launch apps, or control compatible smart home devices.
The software shows advertisements and recommendations prominently on the home screen, leaving little room for your actual apps. The Fire TV Stick 4K does not support Apple AirPlay or Google Cast, so sharing content from your phone is not convenient.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus costs $39.99, down from $69.99. It adds Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support for an extra $15 over the standard 4K model.
