Apple is releasing five new products this Friday. Four are Macs and one is an iPad.

The iPad mini is getting an OLED display for the first time. Each pixel can shut itself off when showing dark content, improving contrast. The tablet is thinner and lighter than before and uses the A20 Pro chip. It starts at $699 for 128GB, with nano-texture glass adding $100 and cellular adding $150.

A new iMac with the M6 chip arrives with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support. Apple claims the M6 is up to five times faster than the M4 iMac and up to 12 times faster than the M1. The 24-inch model still has an LED display and 12MP webcam. It starts at $1,499 for two USB-C ports, 16GB RAM, and 256GB storage.

A 14-inch MacBook Pro gets the M6 chip, available in M6, M5 Pro, and M5 Max variants. Apple says the M6 is up to 13 times faster for AI processing than the M1. It has a 14-inch mini-LED display with 120Hz refresh rate, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, and an SDXC card slot. It starts at $1,999.

Apple's first touchscreen MacBook Pro comes in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The display is PROLED XDR OLED with up to 1,000 nits typical brightness and 2,000 nits HDR brightness. You can scroll, zoom, and draw on the screen. The laptop includes Dynamic Island replacing the notch, and a backlit Apple logo. It comes in M5 Pro or M5 Max only. Apple says it has up to 13 more hours of battery life than Intel MacBook Pros and fast charges to 50% in 30 minutes. The 14-inch M5 Pro starts at $2,899 and the 16-inch starts at $3,399. The maxed-out 16-inch model costs $14,549.
