Amazon is selling the Philips Keypad Front Door Lock Set for $89.98, down from $142.99. The price cut brings the lock to its lowest price ever, according to price trackers.
The set includes an electronic deadbolt and two matching lever handles in matte black. You can unlock the door using a fingerprint, a PIN, one of two backup keys, or one-time PINs for visitors. Philips says the fingerprint reader works in 0.3 seconds. You can register multiple fingerprints and generate unlimited one-time PINs.
The lock operates entirely offline, so it does not connect to your home network or phone. This means you cannot unlock the door remotely or check its status from your phone. You also cannot integrate it with other smart home devices.
The set includes an adjustable auto-lock timer that secures the door after 30 to 180 seconds. It sends alerts for incorrect entries, low batteries, and a jammed lock. Privacy, away, and silent modes offer additional control.
Installation requires just a screwdriver. Your door must be 1⅜ to two inches thick with a one-inch edge bore and a 2⅜- or 2¾-inch backset.
