Eufy's Essential 7-Piece Alarm System costs $269.98 at Amazon, down from $399.99. Price trackers say this is the lowest price ever for the kit.
The system includes a HomeBase Mini hub with 64GB of built-in storage, a keypad, four entry sensors, and a motion sensor. No subscription is required after purchase. The battery-powered sensors need no wiring and connect wirelessly to the hub.
The free Eufy app sends instant notifications when someone opens a protected door or window. The motion sensor detects movement in rooms. Family members can arm and disarm the system using the included keypad at the door.
Setup takes minutes once the HomeBase is plugged in. The system keeps data stored locally on the hub rather than in the cloud.
The kit covers two doors, a couple of windows, and a main hallway. Larger homes may need extra sensors, which cost more. Sensor batteries require periodic replacement. The system does not include cameras. To see what triggered an alert, you need to buy compatible cameras separately.
