Amazon is offering the Netgear Orbi 770 Series Wi-Fi 7 mesh system at $449.99 for a two-pack, down $100 from $549.99. The setup includes a router and satellite node covering up to 5,500 square feet.
A single-node configuration costs $239.99, reduced from $349.99, and covers up to 2,750 square feet.
The system uses tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with combined speeds up to 11,000Mbps and supports 320MHz channels, though you need Wi-Fi 7 compatible devices to use those faster speeds. The router has three 2.5GbE LAN ports and one 2.5GbE WAN port. The satellite has two 2.5GbE LAN ports. You can use wired backhaul if you have Ethernet cabling.
Setup and management happen through the Netgear Orbi app or a web dashboard. The web interface offers VPN access and port forwarding. Some advanced security features like Smart Parental Controls require a subscription. The trial is free for 30 days, then costs $7.99 per month or $69.99 annually.
The system lacks USB connectivity and 10GbE support.
