The Tapo MagCam 2K+ wireless outdoor camera is on sale for $59.99 on Amazon, down from its regular price of $89.99. This marks its lowest price to date according to price trackers.

The camera records at 2K resolution with a 150-degree field of view. Its 10,000mAh battery lasts up to 300 days per charge depending on recording frequency. Charging uses micro-USB, or you can buy the optional Tapo A200 solar panel to eliminate manual recharging.

The camera offers night vision in either infrared black-and-white or color mode using built-in spotlights and a starlight sensor. Local storage uses a microSD card up to 512GB, or you can subscribe to Tapo Care cloud storage starting at $3.49 per month.

Smart alerts can distinguish between people, pets, and vehicles at no additional cost. The camera works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT, but does not support Apple HomeKit. It lacks mechanical pan or tilt features.

The companion app lets you adjust motion sensitivity, activate a siren, control spotlight brightness, and manage firmware updates. PCMag named it the best security camera of 2024, noting the battery life avoids the frequent recharging common to other battery-powered models.
